Good and Bad News

I was out of the country for 12 days and since I haven't really heard from Lyndsay because she is so tired and not feeling well. I am not complaining, but I just wanted to share with you how bad she is feeling.

Good News: She had a scan this week to check on the progress of her tumors and they are continuing to shrink. Praise the LORD! Bad News: While they were doing the scan they found she has a rare form of pneumonia, so she had to miss her chemo treatment this week.

Praying that she is healed from the pneumonia in 2 weeks or less, so she can continue to get her chemo treatment. To many missed treatments will push everything back. Of course praying continually that the Lord will heal her of the cancer.

Just... Doing it!

As it nears Christmas I can't think of anything more I would want... is for Lyndsay to be cancer-free. I know things are going well and I know it is something that won't happen over night (unless God chooses it to be)... but it is a good wish... Right?

Lyndsay had chemo yesterday and it was normal (as normal as her chemo treatments can get). People ask me all the time "How is Lyndsay?" and I always reply "Good. I guess...". I mean how are you supposed to respond to that? I was asked this question the other night by a good friend, who lost her mother to breast cancer, she asked "How is Lyndsay?" and again I replied "Good. I guess..." and she said "She is just doing it.". YES! She is just doing it! Nothing good... nothing bad... just doing it!

This is not easy on her. She can't remember diddly. She feels tired and sick all the time. Her body constantly aches and hurts. She wants so much to be there with her kids like before, but is just so tired and can't.

Praise God for his faithfulness, His comfort, and His strength!

The Beginning of Healing

Busyness of life is consuming... forgive me for the delay of updating y'all on Lyndsay's progress.

The Lord is always faithful no matter if our prayers are being answered or not. His way is always better... even if His answer is death... BUT praise be to God for Lyndsay's progress! Her doctor ordered a scan to be done a few weeks ago because Lyndsay began to experience night sweats again. So, she had the scan done and found out last week that her treatment to kill the cancer is working! The cancer is still there all over her body (tumors all throughout her body as it has spread through her blood) but it is shrinking! Praise our might Maker and Physician!

So now as she goes through this cancer treatment for another 6 months or so... she can hang on to the fact that it is working as she feels sick and her body hurts. God is faithful NO MATTER what... but this time we can rejoice in the healing of Lyndsay's body. Praise Jehovah-Rapha!!

Pure Beauty!

"My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and make music with all my soul. Awake, harp and lyre! Iwill awaken the dawn. I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and let your glory be over all the earth." Psalm 108

First and Hopefully the Last

Last night Lyndsay went to the hospital because she was still vomiting and they admitted her. I have been talking with her through out the day and she is doing "better". She will be eating soon and this will be the test. If she doesn't vomit she will go home tonight or tomorrow (hopefully) and if she does vomit... who knows. Just pray for her PLEASE that she will be able to keep down food and go home to her family.

So, I ended up going to the hospital to see her and she looked and felt so much better. She ate before I got there and there was talk going around of her going home. About 30 to 45 minutes the doctor came in her room to release her. YAY! She signed a piece of paper and off she went. Praise the LORD!

I believe she is home now resting in her nice comfortable bed.

Check back soon because I will be posting new photos of her without hair. ;o)

He is in Control

Hello friends. I want to give y'all an update and ask you to pray for Lyndsay. Lyndsay had her 2nd round of chemo on Monday and I think this time she was given more, so it was harder on her body. Before she was givien her chemo they tested her bood count and they almost didn't give her her medicine because her blood count was low, but they went ahead and gave it to her.

Since Monday she hasn't been able to hold down anything and has been vomiting. Today she went to her doctor's office to get IV fluids and antibiotics. She was there from 9 to 5 and when she called me she still wasn't feeling well. The doctor told her if she continues to vomit that she will need to go to the hospital. She had a feel she was going to be going, but was waiting to see if the vomiting would stop. I talked with her a little while ago and it looks like she is going to try to go to the hospital tonight.

Please pray for healing. Pray the Lord will overwhelm her while she feels horrible. Pray for Ben as he stands by her side and watches and knows there is nothing he can do. Pray the Lord would put Lyndsay in the hands of a good doctor. Pray for wisdom and knowledge for that doctor. Pray for his will to be done and peace would fall upon all.
