The Beginning of the Journey

Hello Friends. This is a blog Lyndsay wanted to create for you all to help you keep track of her journey. These are all emails that have been sent out to help people know what has been going on with Lyndsay and how they could pray for her. So here ya go...

Hello friends. Some of you know my friend, Lyndsay and some of you do not, but my hope is you will remember her tomorrow as she is sick and needs healing from our mighty God.
Lyndsay has been sick pretty much all summer with all kinds of symptoms. The doctors were thinking she had a bad infections and she has been on very strong antibiotics and steroids to try to help her and heal her. Nothing has worked. She saw a dermatologist today to try to help her with her skin (one of her symptoms) and the dermatologist told her there is nothing she can do and said it looks like Lymphoma. She went and saw another doctor today (who has been trying to help her). She told him what the dermatologist said and agreed. So tomorrow she is going to meet with an Oncologist that specializes in Lymphoma and Leukemia.

Hello my friends! I wanted to give y'all an update on Lyndsay. A week ago she had a CAT scan and it came back earlier this week and it showed tumors all over her body (the tumors are her lymph nodes but once they have cancer cells in them they are considered tumors). She then told me that she was meeting with a surgeon this week. Yesterday she had surgery to remove a lymph node from her neck and the doctors were going to take a look at it to see how serious it is and if they needed to put a port in or not. She woke up from surgery and had a port. The doctor's are saying she does have Lymphoma and it is at a stage 3. They have more pathology to run to find out what type Lymphoma it is but they are leaning toward Hodgkin's Lymphoma. There is no cure for Lymphoma but remission. Her survival rate for how advanced this is, is 60%-70%. My heart breaks for her and her husband, Ben and the 2 kids, Aidan and Troy.

Hello Friends. I just heard from Lyndsay and today is not a good day for her. She is in a lot of pain and so tired that she can't get up. She met with her Oncologist yesterday and they haven't gotten the path results from her lymph nodes. Tomorrow (Friday) she will have a full body scan that will detect where the cancer has spread.

Next week is going to be a BIG week for Lyndsay. She has a lot of tests scheduled. Two of the tests are the Echocariogram and a lung function test which will test her heart and lungs to see if she can handle the chemo that she will be given. Then she will have a bone marrow aspiration to find out if the cancer has spread to her bones. On top of all this she is still unsure if she has been accepted by the insurance company for pre-existing illnesses. This is HUGE! Pray for our Lord Almighty would make this happen for His glory. They need some good news and light in this situation. Pray our mighty Physician would heal Lyndsay's sick body. Pray for God's will... that we (people of not much understanding) will be at peace with His master plan.
Praise Jehovah-Jireh!! Lyndsay found out the insurance she applied for went active September 1. She is having the bone marrow aspiration tomorrow at 12:30 PM and possible the lung test as well. Pray for her tomorrow. This is going to be a VERY painful day and it could be a day filled with more bad news, but thankfully Elohim already knows what is to come. Praising him for knowing it all! There could also be a good possibility that she starts chemo this week. Praying Jehovah-Rapha will heal her sick body.
This is what has been going on up to this point. Lyndsay did have her bone aspiration yesterday and she said it was VERY painful. She had a lung function test today and I am unsure how that turned out, but we will be updating very soon on the newest update. She does know that Monday will be her first day of chemo. Pray for good news; that the cancer has not spread to her bones and pray for her strength as the chemo begins. God is bigger than this and she has faith that she will make it through.
